Relationships can be one of our greatest sources of joy, but they can also be where we experience our deepest hurt. Even when love is present, communication can break down, trust can be damaged, and recurring patterns can leave you feeling disconnected from the people who matter most.
I specialize exclusively in relationship-focused therapy. I work with couples, individuals, and relationship systems to strengthen communication, rebuild trust, deepen intimacy, establish healthier boundaries, and better understand how past experiences continue to shape the way we connect with others.
I believe meaningful change happens when people feel emotionally safe enough to be honest with themselves and with each other. My approach is warm, collaborative, and intentional, creating space to slow down, make sense of the patterns that keep you stuck, and begin building healthier, more secure ways of relating. Together, we will create a space where you feel supported, challenged with compassion, and empowered to move toward more fulfilling connections.
As a Black, queer woman, I understand that our connections are shaped not only by our personal experiences but also by culture, family, identity, and the systems we navigate every day. I strive to create a space where you don't have to minimize, explain, or defend who you are. Your experiences are met with curiosity, respect, and care, and our work together will honor your values, lived experience, and goals.
My path to becoming a therapist began with a Bachelor of Science in Human Resource & Workforce Development from the University of Arkansas, followed by a Master of Marriage and Family Therapy from Abilene Christian University. I am currently completing a Ph.D. in Marriage and Family Therapy at the University of Louisiana Monroe, where I continue to deepen my clinical knowledge and commitment to providing thoughtful, evidence-based care.
I support adults in a variety of relationship structures and identities, including:
Whatever brings you to therapy, my goal is to help you better understand yourself, strengthen your relationships, and move toward the kind of connection you want to create.
My work is collaborative, relational, and grounded in evidence-based practices. Together, we will explore the patterns that may be keeping you stuck, understand the experiences that shaped them, and develop new ways of responding that foster greater emotional safety, trust, and connection. Therapy with me is both supportive and practical, tailored to your unique needs rather than following a one-size-fits-all approach.
I center Black love because I believe it is both resilient and restorative. In all its forms, romantic, familial, and communal Black love holds the power to heal, reimagine, and restore connection. My work is rooted in the belief that when Black, Brown, and LGBTQ+ people are given spaces to be fully seen and affirmed, healing ripples outward to strengthen entire communities.
As racial and sexual minorities, BIPOC and LGBTQ+ clients often carry the weight of being unseen, misunderstood, or fragmented in spaces that overlook their complexity. I know how vital it is to find a therapist who honors every intersection of who you are. In our work together, I hold space for all parts of your identity, race, culture, gender, sexuality, and lived experience because each part deserves to belong. Whether you come alone, as partners, or as a family, my hope is that therapy becomes a place where you feel witnessed, connected, and free to love in all the ways that are true to you.
I offer a free 15-minute consultation to help us determine if we’re a good fit. This is not a therapy session, but a space to ask questions, share what you’re seeking, and get a feel for my approach before beginning our work together.
